Quotations are based on the scope, quantities, specifications and information available when they are prepared. An order is confirmed once written approval and the required deposit have been received.

Changes to the approved design, quantities, specifications or project conditions may affect pricing and lead time. Any additional costs will be presented for approval before the related work proceeds.

Unless expressly included, quotations do not include shipping, installation, applicable taxes, duties, tariffs, brokerage or destination charges.

Standard product-line orders require a 50% deposit to confirm the order and begin production. The remaining 50% is due before pickup, shipping or delivery.

Custom, OEM and project-specific work is billed as follows:

• 15% non-refundable design retainer to begin design development, shop drawings and renderings
• 35% production deposit following written design approval
• 50% final payment before pickup, shipping or delivery

Production proceeds once the required approvals and payments have been received. Delayed approvals or payments may affect the estimated completion date. Any alternate payment terms must be approved in writing.

Many Soffi Lighting designs can be customized in colour, size, configuration, drop length and metal finish. Availability, pricing and lead time will be confirmed in the project quotation.

Renderings and shop drawings are provided to communicate the intended design, dimensions, configuration and finish. Digital colours and visual representations are approximate and may differ from finished materials.

Written approval is required before fabrication begins. Changes requested after approval may result in additional design, material or production charges and a revised completion date.

The customer and project professionals are responsible for confirming site dimensions, structural support, electrical provisions and applicable building requirements before production and installation.

All Soffi Lighting fixtures are made to order. Estimated lead times will be provided in the quotation or order confirmation and begin once all required deposits, selections, information and approvals have been received.

Lead times are estimates and may be affected by project complexity, material availability, approval delays, handmade production requirements or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will communicate any significant changes as soon as possible.

Shipping methods, costs and delivery terms will be identified in the quotation or order confirmation. Unless expressly included, freight, insurance, duties, tariffs, brokerage, taxes and destination charges are the customer’s responsibility.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and any identification or documentation required for customs clearance.

Deliveries must be inspected upon arrival. Visible damage should be noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt. Please photograph any damage, retain all packaging and notify Soffi Lighting within five days of receipt. Damaged products should not be installed before contacting us.

Because every fixture is made to order, all sales are final except where an item arrives damaged, is found to be defective or a return is otherwise required by applicable law.

Requests to change or cancel an order must be submitted in writing and will be reviewed according to the stage of design or production. Charges for completed design work, purchased materials, labour and other committed costs may remain payable.

Products may not be returned without prior written authorization from Soffi Lighting.

Every piece of Soffi glass is individually made and finished by hand. Slight variations in colour, size, shape, texture, bubble content, pattern distribution and finish are natural characteristics of handmade glass and are not considered defects.

Photographs, renderings and physical samples are provided as references. Colours may appear differently across screens, lighting conditions and production batches. Dimensions may vary slightly within reasonable production tolerances.

All lighting must be installed by a qualified, licensed electrical contractor in accordance with the supplied instructions, approved drawings, electrical specifications and applicable codes.

The installer is responsible for confirming adequate structural support, electrical compatibility, mounting conditions and maximum lamp wattage. Soffi Lighting is not responsible for damage resulting from improper handling, storage, installation, wiring, maintenance or unauthorized modification.

Installation by the Soffi team is included only when expressly stated in the quotation.

Soffi Lighting fixtures include a one-year limited warranty covering defects in parts and components from the date of delivery.

The warranty does not cover natural variations in handmade glass, normal wear, bulbs, improper installation, accident, misuse, unsuitable environmental conditions, incorrect cleaning, tampering or unauthorized alteration.

Soffi Lighting may require photographs, proof of purchase or the return of affected parts when assessing a warranty claim. Approved claims will be addressed through repair or replacement of the affected part or component, at Soffi Lighting’s discretion and subject to applicable law.

All Soffi Lighting and Soffi Studio designs, drawings, renderings, photographs, text, graphics, catalogues and related materials are the intellectual property of Tsunami Glassworks Inc. and are protected by copyright.

These materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used to manufacture products without prior written authorization. Custom drawings and renderings may not be provided to another manufacturer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Soffi Lighting and Soffi Studio are divisions of Tsunami Glassworks Inc.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

The version in effect when an order is accepted will apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.
