Soffi requires a $2000.00 minimum for first orders to qualify for TRADE pricing as well as completion of our trade application. There are no minimums on reorders. Payment is due on initial orders proforma by company cheque, Visa, MasterCard or Bank Wire Transfer. All subsequent orders are due on delivery unless terms are established.
We bill 15% of the estimated cost of the project as a retainer, and to cover the initial design costs. Once the designs and shop drawings are accepted, a 50% deposit is required to commence manufacturing (the initial 15% retainer is included in this 50%). Site visits may be scheduled, one prior to wall finishing, and one to review installation with the contractor doing the installation. Upon completion of manufacturing 40% payment is required with the client being entitled to a 10% holdback. Remaining 10% is due upon completion of the project. Lead time for custom projects is 10-14 weeks depending on the scope of project.
All Soffi standard products are made to order and take, on average, 3-4 weeks to ship depending on order volume. Lead time for custom orders will be specified at time of order confirmation.
US customers are required to provide their FEDERAL TAX ID number for customs clearance. Items cannot be shipped without this number.
To make things easier for our clients, orders are shipped free domicile to the US and DDP for international (duties, taxes and fees included). These costs are reflected in the shipping charges. Shipping prices are quoted as requested.
Soffi ships with FedEx or UPS standard ground for small packages, LTL Freight for ground shipments within North America, and best rate Air or Ocean for inter national, unless otherwise requested.
Each Soffi fixture is hand made, hand-tooled, and assembled, measurements may vary slightly from those noted. Items are packaged with our product guide which includes installation instructions and product care.
Goods that are damaged at the time of receipt can be exchanged for same goods, provided we are notified by 5 days of receipt. This policy does not include goods that are not defective, or exhibit minor variations typical of handmade products such as variance in colour distribution and small bubbles characteristic of hand-blown glass. Because our products are made to order, all sales are final unless the items arrive damaged in which case, Soffi will replace the item(s) free of charge.
Soffi will customize most of its designs as indicated in the catalog including colours, sizing and cord length and metal finish. Any customization can result in additional charges over the net price and will be quoted at time of inquiry. High quality renders are provided for all custom projects after receipt of the design retainer.
All lighting must be installed by a licensed contractor. Instructions are supplied with all lighting products. It is the responsibility of the contractor to read and follow these instructions carefully. Follow all bulb and maximum wattage specifications. Failure to follow these specifications could result in breakage and damages. Soffi is not responsible for damage due to failure to follow specifications outlined. It is the end user’s responsibility to read and follow these instructions carefully.
A one-year warranty applies to parts and components only. If the product has been improperly installed, tampered with, or altered in any way, the warranty is null and void. Soffi may require images and/or the return of any damaged, failed, or faulty parts and components.
